Sadaqa Jariyah Project in the name of the Late Mrs SHAMEEM Khan-Cheema

After the funeral of Mrs SHAMEEM Khan-Cheema in Liverpool, her grandson Mus'ab Al Khatib decided to commemorate her passing away by initiating a Sadaqa Jariyah project. He raised funds and asked GVE Trustees if a water well could be provided in her name at the school.

When this wonderful initiative reached the GVE Trustees, they informed Mus'ab Al Khatib that a well already exists and that another one is not needed. However, The Trustees asked if the funds could be put towards the establishment of science laboratories at GVS. The Trustees had already given this new development serious consideration in their School Development and School improvement plan.

Abida Hashmi and Danial Hashmi, two GVE Trustees based in Islamabad, worked hard to register GVS as Secondary Male and Female school with the relevant authorities in the Chakwal District Education Department (see E Certificates below). Part of the requirements is to establish science laboratories for Secondary Boys and Girls, and this seems like a fitting tribute in memory of the late Mrs SHAMEEM Khan-Cheema.

Mus'ab Al Khatib and the GVE Trustees have agreed to go ahead with this Sadaqa Jariyah initiative. GVE Trustees are most grateful to Mus'ab Al Khatib and all the donors for this timely and very worthy initiative.

May Allah accept their good deed, and may He award them, and all our generous donors, abundantly for all their good deeds.
