OUR APPROACH TO EDUCATION EXCELLENCE

GVE recognises the need to prepare students for a future we can only do our best to envisage, for jobs that don’t yet exist, to use technologies that haven’t been invented, to solve problems that our future generations will face. Problems and challenges that we know nothing about as yet.

Our methods are thoroughly researched and the best known contemporary educational practice that has been developed over the last three to five decades.

We take what we know about world-class education and localise it to provide an approach that builds on the rich and diverse cultural heritage of rural Pakistan.

While many components of Qur’anic and Prophetic education are enduring, some methodologies must change if they are to remain relevant in today’s fast-changing society. The dual attributes of ‘creativity’ and ‘high performance’ will be the key to success. Having good ‘subject’ knowledge is still important, but this alone will not be enough to adequately equip the next generation of students.

Whilst selecting a broad and balanced list of subjects has its value, we believe it is more important to promote all the character-building aspects of our young minds.

Our approach is holistically child centred and activity-based. One that effectively and appropriately supports every child’s Moral, Spiritual, Physical, Intellectual, Cultural, Emotional, and Social development, as they grow into responsible global citizens.

This therefore strives to enable young minds to think independently, gain knowledge and an understanding of life in the world as it is today.

TEACHING TO LEARN AND LEARNING TO TEACH

The nature and ways of working at GVE in general are likely to be unfamiliar in most schools in Pakistan but our approach has proved to be both challenging and engaging for children. Such an approach is found by research to lead to students being self-motivated and an attitude of striving hard for success.

The GVE all-inclusive approach is intended to promote thinking, nurture giftedness and creativity. It is designed to meet the educational needs of all children. All GVE teachers are expected to be continuously involved in a programme of self-evaluation and personal and professional development. Learning from the cradle to the grave – life-long LEARNING.

“One important lesson from the last century is that, for individuals, education matters more than ever before in history. After serious thought we at GVE have decided to continuously review and
evaluate the impact and outcome of the
education we provide, in order to ensure
that it enables them not only to obtain
the right qualifications, in the right subjects,
from the right institutions but also to produce
well balanced and constructive leaders of a better
tomorrow”
